Whether you are looking for breeding or performance ponies, Clarwood Farm is the place for you. Owned by Guy and Helen Clardy, this couple has over 40 years of experience in the Welsh Pony world.
Guy learned about Welsh ponies at the famous Liseter Hall Farm, owned by Mrs. J. Austin duPont.
Mrs. duPont spent many hours teaching Guy about Welsh ponies, taking him to shows and lending him show harness and carriages until he started on his own farm.
Guy and Helen have continued in that tradition with their own farm, handpicking and importing many of their stallions and broodmares. The Clardys have shown their ponies up and down the east coast over the years, and their prefix Clarwood has become synonymous with quality and performance
Clarwood's breeding program is top of the line. While we are within 20 minutes of the University of Pa.'s New Bolton Center, we have our own on-site facilities for collecting, inspecting and shipping semen.
Our stallions are gentlemen, and all are trained to be collected.
Clarwood Farm also offers for sale quality breeding stock available throughout the year, whether you are looking for stallions, geldings, mares, youngstock or performance ponies.
After countless trips to the UK, the Clardys have gained immeasurable experience and knowledge of the Welsh Pony and will gladly scout prospective ponies for our customers.
